Winning in January 2010 - improving product availability Toolkit

The Toolkit is intended to provide guidance for improving product availability and delivering improved shopper satisfaction in the summer period generally and January in particular. It should be viewed as an adjunct, not an alternative, to the detailed internal and trading partner planning and deployment for January 2010.

Use this report to:  
  •          Develop a January Calendar for planning key milestones
  •          Analyse products / categories that are particularly susceptible to poor performance
  •          Engage with trading partners on the demand, supply and delivery planning  
  •          Assessing performance.
 To round out the work effort ECRA will host a workshop in late February early March 2010 to review the results from January 2010 and determine the next work steps in delivering an improved January availability. Retailers and suppliers are encouraged to track the level of order fulfilment for January 2010 and identify causes of failure as part of the review process.
